Each team will need to provide an umpire for week. Seniors will do another game (usually directly before or after their own game), while juniors usually umpire their own game.

All umpires are paid by GCHA as follows:

Fee Structure - Senior

·         Any Div       International & Australian Badge $25.00

·         Any Div      Beginner or Dev Badge $20.00

·         Any Div     Community Badge + FP  Completed $15.00

·         Any Div     Familiarisation Paper (FP) Completed $10.00

·         Any Div       International & Austral $15.00

·         Any Div       Beginner or Dev Badge $15.00

·         Any Div     Community Badge + FP  Completed $10.00

·         Any Div     Familiarisation Paper (FP) Completed$5.00

As you can see from the above table, in order to receive a payment you will need to do the familiarisation paper. The paper for 2012 has not been release yet. You can use the Familiarisation Paper 2011 to test your knowledge in the meantime!

Juniors will be placed in the GCHA umpire mentoring program. This was very successful in 2011 with nine new juniors taking part. In addition to the above junior fees, Hockey Burleigh will pay an additional $5/game. We will also provide a shirt and whistle. What a great incentive!
